Eggs, chooks n ducks

Sue next door bought us lots of eggboxes around today so we returned the favour with half a dozen eggs.
We have Karen and Mum coming tomorrow so we need half a dozen each for them to take away with them too. Almost there, just need a couple laid in the morning. (Must put the birds out early)
At least once we get Gertrude & Flossie we'll have even more eggs.
Mark and I are helping with the rescue with Little Hen Rescue on the 16th November. Just unloading from crates and reloading them into rehomers boxes- maybe claw clipping too.
We still seem to be getting lots of eggs from the new hens. I would've thought they'd have taken a break by now.
Madge is still being bossy and spends a short time away from the others (in the guinea pig run) so they can get chance eat uninterrupted. Hylda and Fifi seem to bear the brunt of it and when Madge is taken out of the way, Hylda eats and eats and eats, bless her.

The ducklings are growing by the minute, lol. Mark got them half a shell sandpit/pool thing from Ali Holt through Freecycle and filled it with water today so they had a good old swim, duck n dive.

The hen pen is covered in Sundown bedding today, yesterday morning it was so boggy and dangerous that I needed something to soak it up. Sundown is woodflakes and chopped straw with eucalyptus oil that we use in dollys stable. It's worked a treat..

Must go now and crash out, am wrecked. Hips still aren't right from that blasted physio last Wednesday.
