Meet Billy Ray, the black headed caique who we got through Freecycle today. He/she is lovely. Came with cage & lots of toys, we've decided it'll be Mark's as he always did want a parrot.We can't believe he was free, people giving it away as they've got a new baby and their midwife said it wasn't an ideal pet around the baby. What a crock of shite, but we weren't going to refuse him. Shocked that a midwife would suggest they got rid of it as the poor bloke had the bird for ages and must be gutted. Apparently when Mark went to collect the bird the man answered the door with the bird on his shoulder so it must be imprinted on him to not fly away. Hopefully the bird will take to Mark in the same way.
The bird is affectionately known as Manks cack! lol
